St Mary's church, King's Walden, Hertfordshire....
William Cuffley and Elizabeth Allane (Alleine) were married in St Mary's church King's Walden 20th October 1572 and on the 13th September 2018 a descendant stood at the south door of the said church... sadly it was locked, with no mention of where the key could be obtained....
Not quite in the realms of my nose pressed against the glass, asking to be let in, but almost!....
Gorgeous surrounding countryside...

This place looks spooky, maybe I am just getting in the Halloween mood.

What an amazing entrance and what a pity it was locked. My wife took the door handle to a church in the woods in north Sweden a couple of years ago. With a disappointed face she said.. "I hate it when churches are locked..!" It was quite fun to see her surprised face when the door opened..
