NWT Wayland Wood, Norfolk
This magnificent ancient wood dates back to the last Ice Age. It is steeped in history and folklore, deriving its name from 'Waneland' a Viking name for a place of worship. It is also reputed to be the site of the 'Babes in the Woods' story. Source:- information board on site.
Lots of lovely bird cherry blossom....
and early purple orchids, they were a bit blurry though, or is it me?.....

look at all those bluebells! and to think I found one little patch of them by the driveway of our KY property. Such a beautiful woodland setting

Aren´t we fortunate to be able to see the many variations of colours in nature, like these bluebells that sparkle like blue sapphire gemstones in the green. Such beautiful photos Cindy!
