we have icicles ever once in a while. Usually after it stops snowing, starts melting but doesn't finish before it gets dark and cold enough to stop the melt. Then they hang off the rood.They can be dangerous then and I usually take a couple of photos then knock them off the roof so they don't hit someone on the head when they come off
